Mushrooms in Scotland

If Scottish fairies hide under mushrooms (somewhere I heard they did), then they have many kinds to choose from.

Been there. Done that.

We completed our walk today, about 105 miles. Least used item: sunglasses. Screenshot of our trip A Scottish caterpillar - notice the tartan coat An abandoned farmhouse

Weather

Image
We started walking in the best weather of the day: Then it deteriorated. Just as we began our ascent of the Devil's Staircase, we ran into an international ultra-marathon coming down: Mary was so excited watching the runners bounding down the steep rocky path, she decided to have her own race - she won by a mile! (As soon as we dry out, we might post some more)

More than enough moors

Image
Whereas yesterday gifted us with rain, rocks, mud, wind, and a creek to cross every 50 yards. Today was about moors, bogs and amazing vistas.  So in only two days we experienced the essence of Scotland!
