Whereas yesterday gifted us with rain, rocks, mud, wind, and a creek to cross every 50 yards. Today was about moors, bogs and amazing vistas. So in only two days we experienced the essence of Scotland! We started walking in the best weather of the day: Then it deteriorated. Just as we began our ascent of the Devil's Staircase, we ran into an international ultra-marathon coming down: Mary was so excited watching the runners bounding down the steep rocky path, she decided to have her own race - she won by a mile! (As soon as we dry out, we might post some more)
We completed our walk today, about 105 miles. Least used item: sunglasses. Screenshot of our trip A Scottish caterpillar - notice the tartan coat An abandoned farmhouse
